Heifer International
Heifer International's mission is to help people to help themselves. By donating a gift of livestock, people are able to feed their family with potential to generate an income. Heifer encourages its recipients to share the gift by passing on offspring to others. Thus, it is truly a gift that keeps on giving.
Neve Shalom/Wahat al-Salam/Oasis of Peace
This Israeli village of 50 families, half Palestinian and half Jewish, was created to demonstrate that the two peoples can live together as equals. Through their various educational projects, they reach out to the other communities to further the work of peace.
